NEET 2026 Overview

NEET 2026 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the single national-level medical entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical courses in India. Every student aspiring for MBBS Admission 2026 must qualify NEET.

The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is mandatory for admission in government, private and deemed medical colleges. NEET qualification is also compulsory for Indian students planning to study MBBS abroad.

NEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Unlimited attempts allowed

Example: If a student attempts 150 questions, answers 120 correctly and 30 incorrectly, the score will be (120 × 4) − (30 × 1) = 450 marks.

NEET 2026 Syllabus (Official)

Physics

Mechanics, Laws of Motion, Work Energy Power, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects, Optics and Modern Physics.

Chemistry

Physical Chemistry (Mole Concept, Thermodynamics), Organic Chemistry (Hydrocarbons, Biomolecules) and Inorganic Chemistry (Periodic Table, Coordination Compounds).

Biology

Diversity in Living World, Cell Structure, Human Physiology, Genetics & Evolution, Ecology, Biotechnology and Environment.
